Halloween 2010

Halloween this year was really fun. James is at the age where he can enjoy the fun of Halloween, and remember everything. When Rebecca pulled out the Halloween decorations James got really excited. He wanted to open every box and see what was inside, and he was right there when Mom opened them, pulling things out, as fast a he could. When he found the box with the costumes in it, he got even more excited. He pulled out the pumpkin costume he wore when he was one year old and wore it the rest of the day, and, actually, several days thoughout the month of October. One of those times was the night we went to the North Logan Pumpkin Walk. He wanted to wear the pumpkin costume to the pumpkin walk, so he did.

James was Woody from Toy Story this year. He was excited about being someone from Toy Story, which is one of his favorite movies. As Rebecca made each piece of James' costume, she would try on the finished piece to make sure that it fit, and James wore it the rest of the day, and also periodically until the costume was finished. Then he wore the whole costume.

Lillian has been such a busy bee, going everywhere, and getting into everything, even more so now that she is walking, Rebecca thought it was only fitting for Lillian to be a "busy" bee for Halloween. She was the cutest bee anyone has ever seen.

James also enjoyed carving pumpkins and going Trick or Treating. It was a very fun but busy Halloween.

James' Third Birthday

Since our last posting, James turned 3 years old in August. He absolutely loved his birthday cake, which was made out of cupcakes.

He enjoyed opening his many presents.

He loved his balloons the most, I think, but one of them escaped shortly after this picture was taken. James was devastated, but quickly got over it.

Almost everyday he asks if it is Lillian's birthday. I guess he just loves birthdays, regardless of whose they are.

Almost Seven Months Later

Yes, it has been a while since we last posted, but things have been just a little crazy around here for the past 7 months. Lillian has grown quite a bit (We cannot believe how big she is getting), James is ajusting to life as a big brother (He is an excellent one by the way), and Michael has decided to go back to school beginning this fall. That about sums up the major things that have happened since our last post. While not qualifying as a major event, there are also constant little things happening everyday, and it is these daily things that have been making life the craziest. Enjoy some pictures of the kids.

Our Family Keeps Growing.

On Friday, November 13, 2009, the newest member of our family entered the world. She made her grand entrance at 9:35 AM after a 6-hour labor. She was 6 lbs. 10 oz. and 18 in. long. Both Mother and baby are doing well, and everyone is healthy.

Lillian joins proud parents Michael & Rebecca, and brother James.

Mother and baby will be released from the hospital on Sunday the 15th.

Halloween 2009

James had a rather enjoyable Halloween. He got to carve pumpkins, dress up in a costume of one of his favorite characters, and even got to go trick-or-treating with his cousin.

James carved his pumpkin on the day before Halloween (actually Daddy did most of it). But he had fun pulling the seeds out of the pumpkin, and then helping Daddy scrape out the guts.

On Halloween, James got to dress up as Mickey Mouse. Mom spend several days making the costume, and James really enjoyed being "Mouse". The hardest part of the costume to deal with were the ears. James liked having them on...outside. As soon as we ever went inside, the ears came off. And, that was only after he allowed the ears to stay on at all.

Overall James really enjoyed this years' Halloween, and we look forward to next year with two kids.

James is 2

On August 10, James turned 2 years old. To celebrate we had a family BBQ. Most of our family that is around here came, and we had a fun time. James was the center of attention, which is not uncommon even when it is not his birthday. He got lots of good presents, but what he liked most was his Birthday Cake. He loves cake, among other things. So we have officially started the terrible 2s, but unofficially they started months ago, but things are getting better.

It is a Girl!

Micheal and I are expecting our second child this year, and it is a Girl! The due date is December 2nd, but we will just have to wait and see when she decides to come. We are both excited, but as for James well, only he knows how he feels about becoming a big brother. We have yet to pick out a name. I am leaving it up to Michael this time, because I was the one who chose James, Michael just had to accept it, so I told him that he could pick the name for our second child, but I have to like it as well. She is a healthy and strong little girl, and she lets Mommy know it everyday. Some days our worse than others.
